Exeter & River Exe Cruises
Exeter is a cathedral and university city with the shops and restaurants you would expect of a thriving urban centre. The River Exe was rarely navigable to Exeter and river cruises leave from downstream.

Plymouth Hoe
The grassy hoe sports the top section of a lighthouse which once stood offshore on Eddystone Rocks. From the tower and hoe you have spectacular views across Plymouth Sound to the breakwater that shelters this naval anchorage. The seafront provides modern cafes and restaurants beneath the towns mighty fortifications.

Eden Project
In March 2001, the Eden Project , a massive environmental centre in Cornwall, opened to the general public. The finished structure is an unprecedented accomplishment - a giant, multi-domed greenhouse, containing plants from around the globe. The site has already become a popular tourist destination, attracting thousands of visitors every day. What's more, this world-famous attraction is just a 2 hour drive from the Kingsholm. |
